Welcome to my corner of the internet. M'name's Lou. Here you'll get a daily dose of fandom (which one depends solely on my dash) but also political statements, offensive words and fluffy, scaly animals. I try keep the blog semi-free of NSFW but it happens.

Sex workers are human beings…. from cam models to strippers to porn stars. It may not be your cup o’ tea (mmm, tea), but it doesn’t give you the right to disrespect or shame them.

Reblogging this again because people think that just because someone is a sex worker, means that they are not intelligent, can’t have normal lives, and treat them like complete shit.

IT’S ALWAYS TEA TIME!

Peppermint also helps quell nausea! Even having some minty gum can hold it back!

Young British Muslims tell the Islamic State: #NotInMyName

There’s a new trend taking over the social media pages of young British Muslims, and it’s targeted right at the Islamic State.

As Mic has previously reported, there’s something troubling about calling this terrorist group the “Islamic State,” since they do not accurately represent Islam or Islamic beliefs, but a twisted and perverted interpretation of the global religion.

So to combat this, young activists, led by Britain’s Active Change charity, are telling the terrorists to stop acting under the banner of Islam by circulating the hashtag #NotInMyName and calling out the group for “hiding behind a false Islam.”

The message is clear | Follow micdotcom

i think there should be AU’s and then there should be UA’s

because Universe Alterations would be a good name for when your characters are in the exact same universe but you’re altering just a couple of plot points or a few character traits

Made some different colored loading icons for everyone. Pick your favorite color and use it as your avatar for your support against Team Cable trying to ruin the Internet! (click here for a gif)

Team Cable is spending millions to destroy the open internet.

They want to make a fast and a slow lane for the internet. For the sites that can afford to pay, they get to go in the fast lane. Anyone else gets shoved to the slow lane.

Imagine all your favorite websites taking forever to load, while you get annoying notifications from your ISP suggesting you switch to one of their approved “Fast Lane” sites.

Think about what we would lose: all the weird, alternative, interesting, and enlightening stuff that makes the Internet so much cooler than mainstream Cable TV.

What if the only news sites you could reliably connect to were the ones that had deals with companies like Comcast and Verizon? (Also meaning that these news sites would likely only reporting the news Comcast wanted you to see. Remember the “Buy-n-Large” company in the movie WALL-E? Or the book “1984”? Yeah…)

You can act like you don’t care now, but if Team Cable wins, you’ll care a whole lot once it’s too late to change it.

Take 1 minute and stop them at www.battleforthenet.com

Plot twist: The next companion is a normal girl/boy who only dies once in their lifetime and has no remarkable back story but he thinks they’re wonderful because they are human and the Doctor needs reminding that you don’t need to be a mystery to be remarkable.

#and the doctor never has to kiss them or sexualize them at all #in fact they are not even attracted to the doctor

so basically we want Donna back

Aliens of London - series 01 - 2005

This!

why did this change?

What happened to just seeing things happen and getting a chance to watch as history was made and possibly (always) finding out something wasn’t quite right and fixing it leaving history non the wiser?

The excitement of something new happening right in front of your very eyes, this was what made me fall in love with Doctor Who, this is why I go back time and time again to see it once more.
